“Who says of Cyrus, He is my shepherd ruler and he shall perform all my pleasure and fulfill all my purpose-even saying of Jerusalem, she shall again be built, and of the temple, your foundation shall again be laid. Isaiah 44:28 (Amplified).

Because of Israel’s rebellion and disobedience, they were carried away into slavery and their beloved city, Jerusalem, was torn down and destroyed with fire. While they were in captivity, they cried out to God in repentance. In answer to their prayers, God raised a man by the name of Cyrus to become the next king. God raised Cyrus to do His pleasure and order the rebuilding of Jerusalem. King Cyrus provided all the resources needed for the building of Jerusalem.

Are you in captivity like the children of Israel? For every captivity or predicament you find yourself in, there is a Cyrus. Before you were born, God has already gone ahead of you and made provision for your deliverance from captivity. Your Cyrus will not show up empty-handed. Your Cyrus will come loaded with resources needed to build you up. Child of God, it is your prayers that releases your Cyrus into the place of obedience. The awesome thing about the God we serve is He doesn’t wait for you to get in trouble before He makes a way for you. He had already made a way for you before you got into trouble.

In whatever country, state, office, business or predicament you find yourself in, there is a Cyrus God has already raised up before you got there. Get ready, because this Cyrus will use his power, influence, resources, position and ability to help you in this very hour.
